The Macintosh already enjoyed its silver anniversary this year, but it’s not the only Mac product to hit a milestone in 2009. Twenty years ago this week, Apple introduced its first laptop computer—the Macintosh Portable.

At $6,500 (that’s $11,313 in 2009 dollars), 16 pounds, and the size of a briefcase, it failed to realize the dream of the perfect Mac laptop. But a lackluster reception didn’t hold Apple back for long. Having learned from its mistakes, the company rolled out its PowerBook series just two years later—a release that offered more innovation and influence than Apple’s then-low market share would suggest.

But why have a normal surf board when it could be a killer one that makes all the other surfers envy you? These cards are fun and completely unique, creating jealousy among other businesses and designers alike.

It's all in the details

Websites can work well for numerous reasons. Maybe the interface is smooth and easy to use, or necessary items are easy for users to find, possibly the design is attractive and matches the targeted audience. You can have all these things going on but still be missing something. How do you enhance your website to make it the best that it can be? As I tell my husband, I need details!

Details can make a good website a great website. Details can even increase traffic on your site and help sell your product or market your business. Details are what propels a site into greatness.
