We are proud to be a part of Blog Action Day this year, something we’ve participated in for 5 years now. Blog Action Day started in 2007, as a way to focus the conversation online for one day on a relevant world issue, something we can help shed more light on, or bring help to. This year, the topic revolves around “The Power of We.” The Blog Action Day website defines this topic as: “The Power of We is a celebration of people working together to make a positive difference in the world, either for their own communities or for people they will never meet half way around he world.” Pretty inspiring.

For our post today, we’d like to highlight several people that are doing great work to help individuals in need, and are doing so with great style and beautiful design.

Stop Traffick Fashion

Stop Traffick Fashion works to educate people about the reality of human trafficking today, and the fact that it continues, but we can do something about it. They celebrate survivors and offer them opportunities by selling clothing and accessories made by human trafficking survivors. See their beautiful new website, which uses a variety of textures and handmade details to give a unique look to the site, and check out the great products in their shop.

Minnesota Community Foundation

The Minnesota Community Foundation is all about the Power of We. They promote giving back and supporting their own community, helping Minnesotans help one another. They promote several initiatives and opportunities for people in the state to give, lead, support, and make a difference. Their streamlined and easy to use website is clean and beautiful, see how you can partner with them today.

Let’s Move!

Let’s Move! is an initiative dedicated to stop childhood obesity, by promoting healthy eating, staying active, and other great things for kids. Their fun and friendly website sports a bright and cheerful color palette, with a kid-friendly, but professional look. Check out their great site to see more on how you can get involved.

826 Seattle

826 Seattle is a writing and tutoring center that is focused on helping kids write better, and inspiring teachers so their kids can be more successful. The site has a unique personality with lots of little details, but an overall clean and streamlined look. Shop, donate, and visit their site to see how you can participate and get involved.
