A Collection of Stock Photos For Your Website

design by Shannon Noack on September 2, 2010 | 3 Comments

photographyI am constantly on the lookout for great free stock photography to use in my website designs and to pass onto my clients for their websites. I like to keep a variety of diverse choices on hand so that I can use them as placeholders when I design a proof for a client. I know there are some great photos at istockphoto.com and veer.com (my two favorite paid photo services that I highly recommend to use when it really counts), but I don’t always want to pay for something that I might not end up using in the end. I still want a clean and professional look for my client so free and nice-looking placeholders do the trick.

I know my clients are in need of great photos for their sites as well but don’t always want to pay for photos either, especially if they are in need of a bunch of photos or just want to update their look quickly, easily, and for cheap. Finding great photos can be a real chore sometimes so I’ve gathered a bunch of great ones for you to use. They are all free to use, and can be downloaded by clicking on the image and downloading from its source. Enjoy!

Thanks Elaine! Hopefully these will be useful to people.. I know it isn’t always easy to find what you’re looking for when you need it, so I’ve found that keeping a handful ready to go is helpful!
