Trends in web design are always changing because of what’s popular at the current time, as well as the changing scope of possibilities online. We’re seeing more HTML5 and CSS3 as they are really gaining traction and popularity, so we’re getting more advanced techniques and increased usage of these libraries. Browsers are starting to accept more things and developers are changing what they implement.

Read on to see our predictions on the most popular trends in web design for the year.

Full Page Photography

People are really loving giant photos on websites (Snoack Studios included!). You’ll see tons of sites that have full page rotating banners in the background or just 1 large stunning image.

The Color Yellow

Yellow has been popular for a little while now and it’s sticking around this year as well. People love how cheerful and vibrant the color is, making their site appear happy and fun to use.

Black & White Photography

Black and white photos are timeless and we’re seeing a lot of sites that want that classic feeling. Anything in black in white gives a very polished and professional feeling, and photography is always a powerful way to get your message across.

One Page Websites

One page sites that are long are really fun and seem to be popping up everywhere these days. It gives your users something fun to look at, and makes your site unique because it’s non-traditional.
