New site launch: The Diamond Source

new website launch | testimonial | June 25, 2010 | 4 Comments

We just launched a new site for a diamond and jewelry store in Scottsdale, Arizona, The Diamond Source. The design is classy and elegant, with deep reds that really show off the wonderful products that they have to offer. The site features categorized diamond lists and a full shopping cart so customers can now purchase their jewelry online. This vibrant site is geared toward their customers, with simplicity and organization in mind. The Diamond Source’s beautiful products speak for themselves and now their site shows them off in a whole new light. Check it out at diasource.com.

Elegant New Site

This Scottsdale jewelry and diamond store has been around for quite a while but they needed a new site design that matched their elegant merchandise. They wanted a site that was minimal and modern yet elegant and sophisticated. Their fine products are geared toward an elegant audience and their site design needed to hit this audience but be broad enough to make everyone feel comfortable and important. Slight gradients and soft shadows provide some depth and shiny accents add some more sparkle to the design. A soft fabric background was added to the main homepage image and the header on the other pages to give a small amount of texture and an elegant feel. We matched serif headlines with sans serif body text to add a nice touch and more sophistication.

New Shopping Cart

The WordPress shopping cart added a whole new dimension to the site, and allowed them to easily reach more customers. The WordPress admin panel is pretty user-friendly and allowed The Diamond Source to add tons of products with multiple product views. Many shops are bulky and hard to navigate but this one is searchable and organized by categories to make it easy for customers to find what they are looking for.

Kristi from The Diamond Source said this about the experience:

To a small business, the thought of finding a trustworthy person or company to take on the task of building a website can not only seem scary but also risky and expensive.  From our first meeting with Shannon, all of those fears subsided and it was clear that she had a great understanding of what we wanted to accomplish and could do it all within our budget.  Our goal was to create a website that would put every customer at the center of attention, and with the help of Snoack Studios that is exactly what we got.  We work a lot within the trade and every person that we have shown our new site to has wanted to know who designed it and how they can get in touch with her!

The new site turned out great, simple yet sophisticated and modern. Check out the new site and let us know what you think in the comments below. Stay for a while on the site and stop by their store in Scottsdale to say hello!

nice work. like the use of the red – not your typical background – works well
