briefcaseStarting your own business is a learning process but even seasoned business owners must keep learning to stay on top of the game. The market is forever changing and we must learn to adapt by picking up new skills and keeping on top of changing ones in our field. One of the easiest ways to do this is to read online blogs. The information is immediate and current, you don’t have to wait for a book to be published, or a newspaper to be delivered. A blog post can be delivered to you, immediately after it’s published, and you can read it whenever you have time. Reap the benefits of learning from others who are sharing their knowledge and mistakes.

Be Savvy

Being a savvy business owner is all about staying on top of your game and ahead of your competition. Staying abreast of industry news in a timely and efficient manner is important and reading blogs can help you do just that. You can also subscribe to a blog you like through email or rss feed. That way, the articles are delivered to you and you don’t have to waste any time looking for them.

Learn From Others

I’ve gathered a list of great blogs for business owners and entrepreneurs that deliver timely and relevant articles to help you improve your business knowledge and create a greater and stronger company.

Escape from cubical nation: Pamela Slim shares her expertise in starting a company and breaking free from the cubical. She shares valuable marketing resources and advice that any company could benefit from.

Connect

A fun business tip: commenting on these blogs will help you connect with other professionals and get your name out there to potential clients. You can usually link to your website and/or blog on your comment, directing people that are interested back to your company’s site. I’ve connected with lots of great people this way.

Blogs can be an excellent way to connect with others and learn more about being a business owner. As you already know, the business world is constantly changing, but staying involved and adapting to how information is delivered is a great way to keep your business in the game.
